Building an embodied resource kit
Two upcoming speaking gigs I'd love for you to join me at
Good afternoon dear friends,
I have a very newsy newsletter for you today. I’ll be keeping it short and sweet, which, if you’ve been here for a while, you probably know isn’t usually my thing. I like words. Ha! I promise more prose next time.
Business has been really good. So good in fact that I find I have much less time for writing and creating because I’m spending more time in sessions with clients. Of course this is a really good thing!
And, it saddens me not to have as much time as I would like to write and create resources for you. But I do have a couple of resources to share today, and hope you’ll consider joining in on one or both if they feel like they might be supportive for you.
I’m honored to be speaking at the following events over the next couple weeks:
Jan Winhall’s Embodied Dialogue Series: How to Build a Somatic Resource Kit for Your Nervous System — Tools to Heal Trauma & Attachment
*Thursday, October 16th @ 12pm EST
Join Jan and me for a grounded, practical conversation about building the sturdy foundation needed to heal trauma and attachment wounds. Deep, body-level healing begins with feeling safe enough to stay with our embodied experience — and that sense of felt safety is something we can actively learn to create.
Together we’ll explore the power of deep felt sense work, rooted in Eugene Gendlin’s Focusing and Felt Sensing methodology. We’ll discuss why healing attachment and trauma isn’t something we think our way through; it’s something we restore in the body. For that to happen we must learn to intentionally and reliably resource ourselves to build the felt safety needed to do the deep work of healing.
Head here for more info & to register to join us live or receive the recording
CNY Youth Mental Health Summit
*Thursday October 23rd
As part of this year’s CNY Youth Menal Health Summit I’m hosting a breakout session where I’ll be sharing how to adopt an embodied approach to healing eating disorders and other chronic stress responses. This is going to be an excellent event for anyone in the Syracuse and surrounding areas who works with children and/or in the mental health field in some capacity.

Lastly, I’ll just plug the resources I’ve already created for you below, as a reminder that they’re still here still available if you’re feeling the need to dig into more support.

I wish you a beautiful weekend ahead, and genuinely hope you’re able to carve out space for sweetness, goodness and slowness, and I’ll be doing the same.
Peace, peace peace,
Holly
